How do I block spam/robo/unwanted calls to my iphone on the Bell mobility network?

Call control is only available on consumer plans currently. 3rd party apps and device features can help in the interim.

Bell mobility unfortunately doesn't yet provide Call Control on business accounts (?!?!?! - I know).

We rececommend the  following FREE 3rd party apps: Hiya or Truecaller which are both reliable and easy to set up.

You can combine either of those apps with the iPhone built- in 'Silence Unknown Caller' feature for pretty robust spam protection.

To turn on Silence Unknown Callers on your iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings App

    • Locate and tap the Settings app on your iPhone's home screen.

  2. Go to the Phone Settings

    • Scroll down and tap Phone.

  3. Enable Silence Unknown Callers

    • Look for the Silence Unknown Callers option.

    • Tap it to access the settings.

    • Toggle the switch to turn it on (green means it’s enabled).

  4. What It Does

    • Calls from unknown numbers (those not in your contacts, recent calls, or Siri suggestions) will be silenced and sent directly to voicemail.

    • They will still appear in your Recents call log, so you can review and return calls if necessary.

Things to Note:

  • Emergency calls will not be silenced, even if the number is unknown.

  • If you’re expecting calls from a new or unknown number (e.g., a delivery service or job-related contact), you may want to temporarily disable this feature.
