Instructions for enabling iMessage with your international travel eSIM
In order to resolve any issues with with iMessage, please follow the steps below:
Go to Settings > Cellular > Default Voice Line and choose your primary SIM card (usually called Primary). Do NOT select an eSIM here.-
- Note that 'Cellular' may be called 'Mobile' or 'Mobile Service' on your device
- Go to Settings > Messages > Send and Receive. Enable your phone number (place a check mark), and DO NOT enable the eSIM plan (remove the check mark).
Please note that our eSIM plans include data only. They do not include a phone number, and you cannot send or receive SMS messages on the eSIM directly.
